Pros

Plenty of features: We were surprised by the wide variety of options that Smart Scroll for Mac provides. Want to scroll faster, or more slowly? Want to increase or decrease the inertia (or 'coasting') of your scrolling? Want to reverse the scrolling direction on the X or Y axis? Want to scroll automatically when you hover at the top or bottom of a window, or start auto scrolling with a keyboard shortcut? Smart Scroll for Mac does all this and more.

Support for multiple mice: Whether you're using a conventional mouse, a Magic Mouse, or trackpad, Smart Scroll for Mac has something to offer. Features vary, of course, depending upon what type of mouse you're using, but there's something here for everyone.

Application-specific settings: Smart Scroll for Mac makes it easy to customize scrolling behavior for different apps.

Cons

Samsung Smart Scroll

Not for novices: If you're not familiar with terms such as X and Y axis or inertia as they relate to scrolling, you might have to play around with the app to figure it out. The app's online documentation does a good job of explaining its features but not necessarily all the terminology used.

Bottom Line

Smart Scroll for Mac is a great app for anyone looking to customize scrolling. We recommend it to anyone who's not satisfied with their default scrolling options.

These features apply to the MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. The touchpad functions can be customized using the Trackpad Utility that comes with your MacBook.
